You have not shot this kind of target have you? They are properly addictive. I remember shooting one at WMS some years ago. Got through a lot of ammo :-)

I agree with Pete. The duelling trees are a bit of close range fun. You will burn hundreds or rounds on them. I was going to buy a .22 version for the next roundhouse if tiff will let me put it on the indoor range?

I don't get it. Why not have long range fun too? I get Petes point about getting the EXTREME long range ipsc targets to ring louder but a truly reactive (moving) target is hard to beat. Shooting at 1000 with a reactive, as proposed above, is the way forward imho. I will bring mine to a Salisbury shoot one of these days. I'll put money on you changing your minds. :-)

Unfortunately the pelmet isn't quite deep enough to catch all the lateral frag. When I get a spare half day I'll make up some extra deep side panels and go from there.
