Attachment Deleted Just trying these Laststands brackets , hangers and 12mm rebar as an option to more cumbersome scaffold tubing for steels on Salisbury plain. The weight of the IPSC sees to be within its capacity and I will shoot it at very close range (100 yards) to check that it does not fall over under fire. I have literally kicked it hard to try and destabilise it and it just jiggles and resettles......may be different under fire. The rebar packs neatly into a pvc drain tube and the setup takes about 1 minute. Family commitments are going to mean that I will miss the Salisbury shot on Saturday but I will test it with live fire and get it to Rich H in time for the next shoot. I had to buy 4 sets of brackets to make the postage per item acceptable so I hope it works in the real world!

I only painted the outer edges red to try and indicate 'private targetry....do not shoot unless invited' per the RCO Robins suggestion.
All red would make hits hard to see so painted central area white.
How great would it be if you could buy 'shoot n see' paint?!
Someone needs to call organisers to ensure the chance to set out targets before rest of shooters allowed on range.

Looks like a good setup Dave. Be interested to see it in action.
I thought it was red? That said I tried to get some at the local DIY place and they only had black, blue and white, so it got blue and white. I'll bring both.

Shot the IPSC mounted on Laststands and Rebar......140g Berger doing 2900+ out of a 260 rem at 100 yards (fairly point-bank to get tons of energy into the stand to see if it toppled).....barely twitches the stand and makes a very satisfying boing!
I guess the rebar won't take a direct hit like scaff tube might But its a bloody site smaller x-section so harder to clobber.
These are definitely an option to scaff given the rebar fits easily into a plastic drainage tube and the brackets weigh nothing.
REALLY easy setup and rake-down.
Have a go at them next time at Salsbury.
I have a MP4 video of the shots but its 60 something megs and I have no idea how to post it.
