I was going to pm Mike Roberts with these suggestions but thought I might as well do it in open forum to see if anyone thinks it has 'legs'.
I really hope that we continue to be able to use the ranges for long distance shoots but current targetry is limited and I have shot enough tanks.
I thought about getting my own ipsc gong or gongs but then it's not eay to alter ranges after initial placement as well as being fairly expensive. ...so.... what do people think about pooling resources and maybe buying a few from Bruce Hutton that we can place at agreed distances for any given session for communal use ?
Sounds like a good idea only down side I can see is the range we shot on last time at Salisbury the land dipped at around 1300-1400 yards and came back into sight at 2100 leaving a big gap in a place to put targets. Lydd range has a clear view to 1644 yards so might be better there if we can put them out

If we do buy some steels..who looks after them?.Salisbury is the only area that we can put out our own targets..So on that basis I vote Rich!.as he lives the closest .....Plus Swampdonkey would sell them for scrap!
