With close supervision I reloaded my first bunch of rounds for my .308. Its alot to take in at once and the consequences of any mistake doesn't bear thinking about so a massive thanks to Glenn for taking the time and patience to walk me through the process and work out the variables. I'm really pleased with the result and can't wait to test them on the range. The rounds are Federal brass, with 150gr Sierra Match King heads. For my barrel length the manual gave a range of 43gr to 48.5c of Reloder15 powder so we're starting off with 47.5gr which should give 2825 fps. Overall load length is 2.835". I'll see how they go tomorrow.

Excellent! Always good to have an experienced eye looking over your shoulder for your first play at reloading.

Did they shoot?....wind was a bit naughty on the Plain! Naughty??? Thats the first time I've seen an anemometer on a tripod blown over! The rounds shot really well and much more consistently than the factory ammo I had with me on the day. I had to adjust a little bit as the rifle was zeroed to 3000fps rounds but once that was sorted they were excellent. Managed to ring the 6"x7" plate at 500 yards pretty consistently.

500 yards presented as much challenge as 1000+ typically does.......winds just kept changing direction downrange......showed me that a need more practice in the wind!
