No sorry Pete....Pete or Rich may have? Well what a day!!....Near perfect weather for long range shooting!.dare I say that it was maybe a tad warm by lunchtime as the mirage was playing tricks with most of us!With a very gentle breeze running mainly though the dead ground maybe 2-5mph..i had a great time with fellas that I have grown to admire and respect for good reason!..i always seem to be smiling when I'm around them!..
Cold bore hits at 500yrds set the tone for my day!..1080 yrds 12'' steel 2nd round hit!..then on to 1180 first round hit!...Pleased that all the data is spot on.
Highlight of the day Rup Tisme and c18rch shooting the 575yrdETR?..off of quad sticks!...then moving out to the 1080ETR!!!...with 1st and 2nd round hits, but what made it more impressive was the fact that the wind had got up to 10-15mph!..fantastic shooting guys!
Beau shot extremely well with a new PB 1080yrd ETR consecutive hits with his .223!
Tiff your IPSC's was spot on mate Thanks!
Robin Ireland texted me this morning to pass his thanks on to all you guys that turned up early to help with the targets and stayed till the end to pack up!..well done fellas!

Yes, great day. I will certainly be joining FCSA now. Managed a few hits at 1440yds. Shooting off twin sticks was the highlight for me. Got 3 consecutive hits on the etr at 575 but ran out of bullets trying to get the 1080. Very impressive shooting from rich and a disbelieving Tisme. Couldn't ask for better weather :-) Bisley with Wessex in two weeks, have to make more bullets.....

Great day, great shooting and great company. What more could you want.
Just need to get to the mile next!
Didn't get any pics of the other gong either. Sorry.

I'm with you on this. How about the June Sennybridge shoot out to 1810 yards?

It conflicts with the SPTA shoot. I need to get some bullets for my .30-06 before attempting the mile. My .7-08 hasn't got enough elevation left.
I've worked up a load for the .30-06 AI using 230gr Bergers which will get me to a mile. Also have about 90 MOA elevation in that set up. But unfortunately the 230s are out of stock at the moment. Have some on order.

Gents
My two IPSCs will be available for the next Salisbury shoot and going forward.....are we leaving them in the lockup together with scaff pole stands or is Rich taking them home for security?
Pete Searle either has already or will be providing a scaff pole stand for 1 of the IPSCs (thanks again Pete!) and now that we have onsite storage it makes more sense to get an additional scaff pole stand for the other IPSC vs using my Laststands which are less robust but which would serve well for smaller gongs.
So can you let me know if anyone (Glen?) can source aluminium scaff tubing more easily or cheaply than me just going into a builders merchant or wherever they can be bought?
Secondly my understanding is that Tiff is making some hangers but I guess that we need a continued supply going forward so wondered if a group buy of used firehose ex ebay might be a good idea....or can anyone source conveyor belt?
As things stand I plan to give Rich the 2 IPSCs at Bisley on May 22 at the Wessex shoot but currently have no mounts except for the 1 Laststands that I posted.
Finally.....is it a dumb idea to simply leave the scaff stands out in the field between shoots to ease setup time and effort (Steeks to get locked up though!)...or will they get blown up or nicked?

Tisme, I just noticed the bolts on your steel. From experience I would suggest you put em in the other way round because even a minor hit will mean trashed thread and removal with grinder ;-) Dave, suggest nothing gets left out, anything you can lift will walk up there.

Rup
Makes you wonder why anyone would nick lo-val tubing!
Anyway.....my other questions stand if anyone can source tubing and mount materials favourably.

Assume last post is you Pete?
Do we have a supply for additional IPSCs and for replacements as they get shot-up?
