There is a new competition being held in the US this year, it is called the King of 2 Miles - it involves targets from 1500m to 2 miles (funnily enough) and is shot in teams of 3. 1 Shooter and 2 spotters. The UK has 4 teams entered (Invite only this year) and with the help of the Shooting Shed, I have added some modifications to my rifle to help achieve hits out to 2 miles. The package is not quite finished, I still have a rear monopod being built in Germany for me (by the Rifles designer and builder) along with the option of a bag rest from the Shooting Shed too. Mods are: Shooting Shed bipod extension - 300mm further forward, with the option of another 300mm and a Shed bipod for some of the shooting. Shooting Shed oversized bolt handle Shooting Shed adjustable cheek rest (essential with the beast of an adjustable base I have) Cold Shot 150MOA adjustable base (On top of a 20MOA rail with a 30MOA TET unimount) - the base actually has 180 MOA of adjustment in 1/4moa clicks! The scope is a trial/test from one of my sponsors and is a Bushnell XRS 4.5-30x50 FFP scope. (I am also taking 2 other scopes and will hopefully have something "Special" for the 2 mile event) Mirage shield from Fierce Vinyl in the US. From my 1k zero I need 212MOA out to 2 miles. Still to come is a Shooting Shed paint job too! _________________ www.wrensmews.co.uk

212 moa.......
Thats just ridiculous lol
I thought that 30 MOA for 1000 was allot.
I must say achieving hits at that range would cause a bulge in my pants. Hats off to you Mate and all the best Mike Its a big thumbs up from me

Awesome! Had to find out more... bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2015/05/king-of-two-miles-event-in-new-mexico/Mike, how accurate are the ballistic calculator systems at these ranges? Or maybe I should say how accurate is that adjustable mount? Maybe I should start doing the lotto, sod buying a yacht, I want to give that a go. :-D Tiff, you listening...... engage steel targets between 1000 & 2500........ You could host an international comp :-)

Rupert. The ballistic calcs fall down around 2000 or so. Applied ballistics once trued is working well out passed 2500 now. The Mount is 100%repeatable and the adjustment is exactly 1/4 moa per click. The machining on it is awesome. I had not seen the thread on accurate shooter. Must read it now!!

Ah we were not aware that the distance had been dropped to a mere 2500 for this year! But I do know they are using standard IPSC targets!!

When will the first Salisbury Plain shoot likely be? And good luck in the comp.
